Amir al-Muminin seminary
Amir al-Muminin (a.s) Islamic Seminary is under the umbrella of Al-Mustafa International University, located in the holy city of Qom. It was inaugurated in 2007 under the auspicious guidance of Ayatollah Araki as a source of disseminating knowledge and training western students from North America and Europe. The school focuses on the classical texts of the seminaries and follows a traditional seminary system. There is a close teacher-student relationship, mubaithah (i.e interactive discussions among students on each lesson covered in class, in order to have a comprehensive understanding of the topic at hand) and weekly lectures on ethics. At this school a comprehensive and extensive education and training is provided to western intellectuals who are interested in Islamic sciences.
